Horace Leigh Deck graduated LRCP (London) 1906 and MRCS (England) 1906, and was registered in Australia on April 8, 1908. In 1912 his name was mentioned in The Homoeopathician: a Journal of Pure Homœopathy by James Tyler Kent and Julia C. Loos. In that journal he reported a difficult case of a patient with gastralgia.

The Sydney Directory for 1915 records that “Hatherleigh Deck”, surgeon, was at “Witheycomb” at Ashfield, the practice and residence of  Dr John Feild Deck.
