Augustus Harold Nash was born in England around 1852, son of Clement Young Nash and Charlotte Clapton.
In August 1876 he placed an advertisement in the Sydney Morning Herald stating that Dr Nash, homœopathic practitioner, could be consulted daily at 151 William Street, Wooloomooloo. At the beginning of October of the same year he advertised that he had moved to Apsley Terrace, Crown Street, off Oxford Street. In 1886 he was recorded as being a homœopathist at 251 Crown Street, Surry Hills, ‘late of Hill End’. By November 1891 he was advertising his services from 50 Elizabeth Street, Sydney.
In the 1900 NSW Post Office Directory he was recorded as being a medical practitioner. In 1902 and 1903 he was listed as being a homœopathist at 110 Phillip Street, Sydney, while in the Wise Post Office Directory for 1904 he was listed as being a homœopathist at 142 Phillip Street.
In 1906 he was on the Committee of Management of the Sydney Homœopathic Hospital. In 1913 he was listed as a homœopathic physician & as a homœopathist at 142 Phillip Street. He was also a Justice of the Peace.
A.H. Nash married twice - firstly to Ida Jeanette Pietzcker in 1884 in Queensland. She died on 2 March 1911 at their residence in Phillip Street. In 1912 he married Marie Josephine Coady and they had one child called Harold Ernest Nash.
On 8 February, 1914 he died at his home, "Roslyn", in Douglas Street, Stanmore.
