Was recorded in the NSW Post Office Directory of 1900 as being a ‘homœopathist’ at 16 Albion Street, Paddington. He was at the same address in 1902 and 1904. In 1913 he was at 399 Dowling Street.

 

John Fox died at the age of 79 on 18 May 1934, his wife, Mary, surviving him. At that time they were living at Melrose, Frazer Street, Randwick. He was buried at the Independent Cemetery at Rookwood. He was described as being “John Fox, DC Homœopathic”.

 

A short obituary in the Sydney Morning Herald stated:

 

Dr John Fox, of Randwick and Darlinghurst … practised homœopathy in Sydney for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Churches of Christ, and was closely associated with the work of that church at Lilyville (now South Kensington). He later transferred his membership to the City Temple. He served on various State committees of the Churches of Christ, and was a liberal supporter of the various home and oversea missionary enterprises.
