In MacPhaill’s Directory of Tasmania for 1867, Hatton & Laws were listed as being Chemists and Druggists in Brisbane Street, Launceston, but with no mention of any homœopathic activities at this stage. In 1879 they started advertising the sale of homœopathic medicines.
In 1882 Martin & Co. of Melbourne announced that they had chosed Hatton & Laws as the Launceston agency for the sale of their medicines.
