                                      An advertisement in 1865

(Material researched & presented by Barbara Armstrong)

Wayne and Brind were “Wholesale Drug Importers and Dealers in Druggists’ Sundries” listed in the Ballarat and Ballarat District Directory for 1865-66, compiled by FM Dicker. They advertised that they were agents for, among other products, “Homœopathic Medicines and Cocoa”. They were established in 1852 and their advertisement stated that they operated from 47 Bridge Street Ballarat East and Sturt Street Ballarat. It is not known if they sold homœopathic medicines from the time of their establishment.
