C.V. Florance

    Millicent

In December 1876 Charles Van Lear Florance placed advertisements in the Border Watch announcing that he was a Pharmaceutical and Homœopathic Chemist and dentist, Millicent.

Given that his pharmacy commenced with inclusion of the sale of homœopathic medicines, it is likely that he had sold such medicines previously when he was in Fitzroy, Victoria, or had at least witnessed the popularity of homœopathy during his time there.

The pharmacy was still being advertised in August, 1878, although by 1879 he had moved to Georgetown and commenced practising as an unregistered medical practitioner.
