A graduate of Melbourne University in 1877, Dr Murray was appointed honorary surgeon of the Melbourne Homœopathic Hospital in 1880. In the 1884 edition of Sands and McDougall’s Melbourne and Suburban Directory his private practice was listed as being at 14 Greville Street Prahran, and he described himself as “Surgeon and Homœopathic Practitioner”.

 

In the Australasian Medical Directory for 1882 he was recorded as being Honorary Medical Officer at The Melbourne Homœopathic Hospital. In the 1886 edition there was no mention of him working at the hospital.
