Dr Teague gained his qualifications (MB and ChM) in Edinburgh in 1896.

In the 1903 edition of the Australasian Medical Directory he was listed at 89 Collins Street.

In 1915 he was listed as Senior Resident Medical Officer at the Melbourne Homœopathic Hospital and then medical practitioner at Hamilton, Victoria. He had also worked as medical officer at several hospitals including the Tibooburra District Hospital in New South Wales, Mt Garnet District Hospital North Queensland, Medical Superintendent at White Feather Hospital, Kanowna.
