Dr HH Wigg was a son of ES Wigg, who ran a homœopathic pharmacy and helped establish the Adelaide Homœopathic Dispensary.
 
He gained his qualifications (MRCS and LRCP) in England in 1883, after which he returned to Adelaide and provided his services at the Adelaide Homœopathic Dispensary until at least 1889.
