In the Biographical Index of South Australians, William Bradbury’s occupations were recorded as being “bushman, gardener, homœopath”, having lived at Moralana, Stirling North and finally at Port Augusta. He was born on 13 May 1832, and although his date of arrival from England was given as 1854/5, he did not appear in the early editions of the South Australian Directory. In The Commercial and Trades Directory of South Australia 1882-3, he was listed as a gardener at Stirling North.
